My name is Tara. I’m married to my best friend and have two beautiful daughters ages 4 and 2, #3 is due near Halloween 2009. I am a natural childbirth and breastfeeding advocate. I have done some volunteer work as a peer counselor with WIC and I am thinking about becoming an LLL leader and eventually an IBCLC. My blog was created to put some alternative information out there about breastfeeding, childbirth, other issues regarding motherhood and life in general. I hope that you enjoy reading here and visit me often. Thanks for reading!

Saw the breastfeeding comparison – great work. And I’m with you on all of the above. We wash about everything in baking soda or vinegar – all about the chemical free – and we love the family bed. And no tv. It’s a good life.

Tara,
I posted #99 and am outraged at myself after the fact. I reacted to the men who find breastfeeding offensive. After forwarding your link with my comment to my Austin.mamas group and got what was coming, I wised up. There are so many mommas who aren’t as lucky as you and I. For example, my nannies granddaughter is trying everything and cannot produce enough milk for her baby to thrive. She is beside herself and has to use formula and a bottle. Could you / would you PLEASE remove my post #99 and my apology #139 from your site. I really will THINK BEFORE I POST again! Congratulations on all that you are doing! I am with you. We also do Elimination Communication and my 32 month old was out of diapers at 17 months and my 9 month old has been pooping in the pot since he was 3 months! WE love it! THANK YOU for your time!
